However, they soon discover other evil creatures-the wights-are in hot pursuit, so the children run into the forest. Hollow City is A worthy follow-up, and as addictive a read as the first.Hypable Hollow City mixes spooky vintage photos and action-packed storytelling to continue the story of Jacob Portman and his fellow peculiars as they travel through time to war-torn London. They arrive on a deserted beach, initially assuming the threats of the hollowgasts and bad weather are behind them.
Tossed and turned and facing imminent danger, they set out to find dry land. Hollow City opens with Miss Peregrine's peculiar group of children fleeing the evil hollowgasts in a boat on a storm-addled sea. The next book in the series, Library of Souls, was released in 2015.
